The 2024 AGM

The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce held its Annual General Meeting at the serene 40 Knots Winery on Anderton Road in Comox on Tuesday, March 23, 2024. 

Chamber Members, Board Members, and guests were welcomed with drinks and light snacks before the meeting kicked off at 5:30 pm. 

Still recovering from an injury sustained at the Gala Awards earlier this year, outgoing Chair Robyn Clarke called upon Chamber Member Paul Ives to chair on her behalf, and he took the reins and got the meeting started smoothly. 

In the next 45 minutes, the Chamber approved the minutes from the 2023 AGM, Treasurer Jason Knodel gave a rundown of the 2023 Financial Reports, and Executive Director Tracey Clarke shared the Operations Report for the past year. 

Then, Mayor Bob Wells welcomed new directors Lara Austin and Mike Atkins, and incoming chair Ramon Ramirez spoke about his plans for the future. 

The AGM wrapped up at 6:30 pm, giving Members time to socialize before heading home. 

The Chamber thanks everyone who attended and took part in the AGM, and bids farewell to outgoing Board Members Caroline Cody, Kelley Giorgianni, and Susan Carson with thanks for their service. We wish the new Board Members, and the Chamber at large, all the best in the year ahead.
